If there’s nothing you really look forward to on Mondays, at least let the Bold Moves Podcast be one of the things to make it a little better! This week is Thanksgiving week, and while the whole story of how Thanksgiving came to be is not the happiest, at least it gives us an excuse to get together, eat delicious food, and above all – practice gratitude! One of the things for which I’m grateful is my friends and chosen family, and this week’s podcast guest is exactly that. He’s going to be standing in our wedding this July as one of our groomsmen! So brace yourselves for Bold Moves Podcast Episode 19: Alan Harris!
As always, Bold Moves Podcast Episode 19: Alan Harris!, like all the other episodes, is available on iTunes, Stitcher, your favorite podcast app, via the player at the bottom of this post, or in the YouTube video below, if you prefer to watch as opposed to just listen!
One thing I loved about Alan’s perspective is that he has a background in business risk management, which made his approach to starting his own business quite different from the other entrepreneurs I’ve interviewed so far in that it seems that it was planned more strategically, even if it did involve some surprises for Katy, his wife!
Speaking of, here’s Alan embracing the scariest thing he’s ever done – fatherhood! That’s his adorable daughter Stella!
Here’s the truck he surprised his wife with! He told me that the stripes on the side were actually made with colored duct tape!
I HAVE to mention that I love his pants – Go Badgers! 😉
Here’s the Urban Caveman Food Truck mascot – Urbee!
Well, I’d say that Bold Moves Podcast Episode 19: Alan Harris! is a definite inspiring success! I am excited to share with you the TWO challenges Alan offered up for this Friday’s Black Friday edition of the #BoldMovesFearlessFridays challenge, as well as my contribution to the discussion of last Friday’s challenge issued by Linda Mitchell!
Here are Alan’s book recommendations*! While he mentioned Tim Ferriss’s Four Hour Workweek, he breaks down what he feels are the two most valuable parts of it! As for podcasts, though I am hoping at some point he will be recommending the Bold Moves podcast, he mentioned loving Freakonomics. But for his four books, here’s what he says!
1. Nudge by Richard H. Thaler,
2. Against the Gods by Peter L. Bernstein,
3. The Big Short by Michael Lewis, and
4. E-Myth: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What To Do About It by Michael E. Gerber.
If you’re looking for Alan online, you can find him at the following links. He doesn’t post a lot from his personal instagram, just as a head’s up! Here’s the Origin Meals Instagram page, here’s his personal instagram, here’s the Origin Meals facebook page, and the Origin Meals website!
And I wanted to keep the giveaway chain going, so here’s an opportunity to win Body Beast!

I had no idea that there were so many costs associated with podcasts until I decided to have one, but it is a labor of love that has proven totally worth it! Thank you in advance for your support! <3
