This year, I began a new monthly tradition of sharing my goals each month and for the quarter, along with my accountability toward those goals. It has been really valuable for me, for many reasons. One is that it has helped me to stay focused on what actions I need to do on a daily basis, or longer term, to get where I want to be. I think that many people don’t even realize it but find themselves off track, partially because they don’t necessarily know what their track is to begin with! So, that’s why I find it very valuable to share my March Goals & Accountability with you, my readers! And I also realize that it is the end of the first quarter of 2018 already (seriously, where did the time go??), which means even more that it’s time to check up on my progress! Yikes!
To begin, let’s look back at my January and February goals, just in case you’re new to my blog!
I am still LOVING using the 42 Goals website.
Here are the screenshots for February’s actions!
Obviously, today’s is still in progress! Right now, I am doing an activity that’ll help me cross out that “content” option (writing this blog post)!
It’s interesting to see the layout of a whole week, and try to find patterns within. So far, I can’t see many, but I do know that one thing that holds me back a bit is that to check off “write,” I need to work on my book for thirty minutes, and so I try to hold off often until I am able to commit 30 consecutive minutes to writing! It doesn’t sound like a lot, but sometimes that feels like a long time!
I can’t believe I’m saying this… Well, typing this… But I STILL haven’t completed my projects of wanting to get close to completing decorating our apartment, or completing my vision board! I hope to get the vision board done this weekend, and want to have the apartment decorated to the point I mentioned in last month’s goals and accountability post before my mom and Marv come in 13 days!
My 2018 goals also involved doing one modeling shoot and one makeup shoot for trade to boost my portfolio. I failed to do a modeling shoot in January, but made up for it by doing two in February! I haven’t received pictures for the first one, but did from the second. One of them is the cover photo for this post, which you can see here:

Here’s a video that shows one of the trade shoots that I did for my makeup portfolio, which was actually an audition to work with a specific headshot photographer. It also shows a paid job I did the same morning, with longtime friend and client and former Bold Moves guest, Malynda Hale!
VIDEO will be uploaded once technology cooperates with me!
For March, I have already done on trade/portfolio building shoot for my makeup portfolio (which is amazing, because it’s only the third), but do plan on doing a modeling shoot this month, and possibly another trade makeup shoot if an amazing opportunity comes up!
I’ve also already had another amazing gig yesterday for Cadillac Magazine with Phil Rosenthal.
Both of the shoots so far this month have had SOME (minimal for yesterday’s) behind-the-scenes action, but they’ve been on my brand new Instagram specifically for my makeup portfolio!
Another goal I had was to be more diligent about adding to my highlight reel, and that I have definitely done!
Last month, my goals and accountability post said “I will finish Smart Success in February,” and that was a lie, though unintentional! I mentioned that my focus switched from growing my following and email list to writing my book, and in that process, I came across Lewis Howes’ (who you may remember from my favorite podcasts blog post) inner circle training, which included trainings on producing your own books as well as growing your following. I did start Smart Success, but once I joined the inner circle, decided first to get to current on that training, and then go to Smart Success, so that is the current work in progress.
I WILL catch up and implement the inner circle training and complete and implement Smart Success training in March! I have a plan for after that as well, that I hope I share when I do the April Goals & Accountability because I hope to be at that point then!
So, moving forward – I am going to continue with my daily activities, as well as get significantly further in home decorating – get all of the furniture items I am looking for, hanging up all the art I already have, do the paint touch-ups required, and getting things organized the way that I want (mostly my makeup – haha), and complete my vision board. As I said, I am going to continue with my highlight reel, and COMPLETE Smart Success, and get caught up on the Lewis Howes inner circle training. I will do another shoot this month to develop my portfolio as a model, and if an opportunity arises, may do another as a makeup artist. I also want to get completely caught up on my Bold Moves Fearless Fridays challenges!
I am really excited to share the results of my March Goals & Accountability next month!
