It has been bumpy at times but she is so much happier and already seeing growth in her business! If that wasn’t enough, Rachel also began a project called Array in which she scouts CA-based photographers for a bi-annual photography journal. This project is very close to Rachel’s heart as it’s all about collaboration and building fellow creatives/independents up! It also gives her the chance to fully design and curate a publication without any restriction. Once the journal is ready, Rachel also organizes a launch event for each issue release. This entrepreneur journey has been such a growing experience for Rachel and has allowed her to take a risk for my own happiness and to commit to something she truly loves. This week’s guest, for Bold Moves Podcast Episode 189 Mary-Theresa Tringale has made many bold moves! When Mary was 23, she moved her whole life from Boston to NYC. I didn’t have a job, just friends, their couch and $2k in my savings account. Within a week Mary landed a job as a sales assistant at Woman’s Day magazine which leads to a 7.5-year career in NYC in Publishing. But, Mary made a second bold move and picked up her fabulous life in NYC and moved to Portland, ME. Once again with no job, and only the faith that everything would work out. After a little over two years, Mary made a third bold move to try life as a freelance event producer. Currently, Mary was a bartender at night and helped to plan a variety of events around the Greater Portland area while also consulting for a non-profit SkillsUSA Massachusetts. After about a year of that, Mary landed her dream job (and realized freelance life was not for her) as the Manager of Special Events and Sponsorships at WinterKids – a non-profit in Maine. Now, that’s not all, in Mary’s spare time she is building her Events Coaching business, helping coaches plan their own live events, AND selling jewelry on Etsy. She is also the Board president of a non-profit called The Maine Women’s Conference and they held their inaugural event this past May. This is going to be a packed episode.
