Woohoo! It’s November! How did it get to be November so fast? It seems like 2016 is flying by! One spectacular thing about it being November first is this… Remember those awesome headphones that I was raving about a while back, and the wonderful contribution to Bright Pink they did? They’re doing a flash sale today, so you should take advantage of it! Additionally in first of the month news, one thing that I have been SAYING I would do for a long time, but not actually doing is making a list of my goals for the month. Since I spent a lot of time checking out other blogs during the blog hop the last couple weeks, I also got some friendly reminders to do so, so it’s finally time! Alright, without further ado – here are my November Goals + Aftershokz Flash Sale details!
Let’s start out the with the Aftershokz flash sale… Between now and 11/2 at 11:59ET, you can save 20% by using SWEAT20 at checkout on a pair of Aftershokz! Make sure you read my previous post to get the details about how amazing the headphones are!
Here’s a little reminder, too!
Now, onto my November goals!
Before I just lay them out, I need to share something from a while ago… As a successful Beachbody coach, I got the opportunity to work one-on-one with a few of the different territory managers, and one of them Arnauld Nakaha, gave me some great advice that I still haven’t followed. I am a self-proclaimed personal development junkie. I am subscribed to and listen to tons of podcasts, I purchase online acadamies, and I read books in pursuit of becoming my best self. But as you can tell by my “job title,” that can send me running in several different directions, and as they say – if you try to chase two rabbits at once, you catch none. I am FINALLY believing that! So, I am going to focus like a laser on a specific thing until I am happy with my mastery of it, and then move on to the next instead of trying to learn so many things at once! Arnauld said if I just listen to all sorts of podcasts and read books all the time without direction, I can’t count it as personal development – it’s entertainment. I thought it was at least a little better than his example of it being akin to keeping up with that “K” famous family, but since he gave me that advice long ago and I am still not where I wanted to be, I should probably try to follow it!
That being said, the start of November is going to be a season of DECLUTTERING. I am obviously already starting with a mental decluttering by focusing on one thing, but this will be physical as well! I am currently reading* The Life-Changing Art of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo, and I have checked out It’s All Too Much: An Easy Plan for Living A Richer Life with Less Stuff by Peter Walsh.
That being said, Goal #1 for November is to read 30 minutes each day, from one of those above books! A couple friends of mine once told me that to become a master at something, you have to read about it 30 minutes a day and write about it 30 minutes a day. I don’t want to master decluttering enough to help others with it, but I’d like to get ahold of my mess in my home and work spaces, so that’s that!
I bet that helped you be able to guess Goal #2 for November – that’s to write 30 minutes a day! Not about decluttering – just to write in general, whether it’s more blogs, journals, or contributing to editorials online – even letters to friends will count! I just want to let some of what is IN my brain OUT!
I am trying to put a little more focus on blogging, so making sure this is more than just reviews of products and descriptions of my podcasts is important to me!
As a fitness person, of course I need a fitness goal, so another goal for me is to finish the 3-Week Yoga Retreat (which you can try for free here), which we started just before we left town for a friend’s wedding, so that’s Goal #3 for November!
And finally, for my fourth goal, I’d like to do Deepak Chopra & Oprah’s latest meditation challenge and not miss a day! It technically started yesterday, but I would like to start it tomorrow and catch up! That’s Goal #4 for November! 😉
I would love to keep you all updated with this throughout the month, so stay tuned for that! I feel like I’ve recently become more self-aware, so I think I am making moves in the right direction, which is exciting for me!

I had no idea that there were so many costs associated with podcasts until I decided to have one, but it is a labor of love that has proven totally worth it! Thank you in advance for your support! <3
